Fixed System Units in Labs
We manufacture as educational furniture and lab furniture within any industry.
Our fixed unit systems can be made with either single or double units. These units can be cupboards or have drawers incorporated within them. They offer the stability of the fixed bench worktops which are supported by the storage cabinets. This provides an ideal platform for weighty equipment.
Maximum storage and working areas are achieved by tailored units strategically located knee hole spaces for working desks. Furthermore, the benchtop and cabinet depths are variable in perimeter, island or peninsula layout.
Service lines are catered for in the voids behind the storage cabinet, protected but easily accessible by removable back panels. Alternatively, service spines and trunking a variety of designs offer adequate access to worksurfaces as well as isolation of potential hazards.
Services can also be added to this type of system. We offer sinks, sink and drainers and electric outlets. Locks can also be added to the units to make cabinets more secure.
Our standard specification for all our cabinets is below. However as all our storage units are manufactured by us in our factory in Manchester, we will work alongside our customers to meet your specifactions.
Specifications
Carcass:
Ends, rails, bottom and shelf to be constructed of 18mm melamine faced Board, edged in 2mm matching PVC. Backs are 6mm melamine faced MDF Board to match. Carcasses are doweled, pin and cam construction. Units are fitted with 4 heavy duty adjustable feet. All backs are fully removable for easy access to services.
Drawer Boxes:
Drawer sides are Metabox system epoxy coated (RAL 9001 Cream – White) mild steel, mounted on soft rollered runners. Standard depth is 450mm front to back; drawer base and back are of 18mm white melamine faced chipboard, edged as necessary in 1mm PVC. Standard drawer sides are 86mm and 135mm. Capacity 50Kg Static Load, 25Kg Dynamic.
Fronts:
Doors and drawer fronts are of 18mm Laminate faced board. 2mm PVC lips to all edges. Colours are from the Altofina Plain Colour Laminate range
Hinges:
Doors are to be hung on Salice UK 1700 concealed clip on hinges.
Handles:
Chrome “D” Pull type handles (100 mm)
Plinth Construction:
Plinth rails are supplied in continuous lengths with fixing clips to attach to legs. These are black melamine faced.
Locks:
Lowe and Fletcher 2806 Cylinder Cupboard or Drawer lock
