Packwood Haugh High School, Shrewsbury

Packwood School is an independent school located in Shropshire.

Lab UK were engaged by architects Baart Harries Newall to design and install 3 science labs and 2 prep-rooms within a mixture of new build and remodelled areas.

The client decided to use our “Zeus” system of lab furniture with Velstone worktops. This system allow all students to be facing the teacher/demo bench for maximum engagement. The service outlets are located on angled panels to the front of the student benches leaving the bench top free of obstructions for theory work. There are also storage units below.

We were employed by the main contractor Paveaway Building Contractors to complete the installation of lab furniture and fume cupboards, we worked in conjunction with M&E contractors to create a fantastic learning environment for both Junior and senior pupils.

The teaching staff, school management and students are delighted with the end result.
